Public speaking is the practical craft of engaging and informing an audience. This session will remind attendees of the basic components of a well delivered message and apply those basics to several of the settings where planned giving officers encounter an audience: private donor visits, staff meetings and professional presentations.

Estate Administration from Probate to Settlement


Overview of the estate administration process from probate to settlement of the estate. We will discuss the various types of probate proceedings, administration of the estate (including review of estate and fiduciary income tax returns), and the accounting and settlement of the estate or trust.
